The Beast Unchained

Prayers answered?

The eyes of so few closed and kneeled over in prayer. The sounds of metal on wood as the door slowly gives way to the horde of beastmen that seek their quarry. The prayers were answered not with a flash but with a flicker. the flicker gave shape only to start to wither as the door was already open and the ten kneeled figures dropped one my one steel to flesh. The flicker was gone where it vanished stood one of the ten. His eyes bright red his breath deep and menacing, a hand reaches down towards an axe dropped from its felled companions. The erratic movements of the beastmen stilled at the sight until they stood no more the floor covered in gore. Bathed in blood stood one figure. Its eyes darted to the now open door where more beastmen could be heard. The hulking presence walked towards the noise.

Beast or God?

The battle field of a soul that houses a struggle between god and beast. Byregot frayed and tattered from a poor and pitiful summoning. The crimson red beast of rage with its claws clenched into the very being of this arena. This struggle never ending and ever raging.

The Myth

15 years ago the U'Ghamaro mines was the home to a monster. No not the Kobolds, something else, something monstrous. Day after day bodies of dead Kobolds would pile up near the entrance of the mines. Ungodly roars could be heard throughout the tunnels but the source never found. After weeks and weeks of Kobold bodies littering the Outer La Noscea region it just stopped. No more new bodies appeared and Kobold activity slowly went back to normal. Some recall a unknown hunter felling a huge beast around the same time the bodies stopped showing up but no one knows if this is related or not

The lost cause

15 years ago Limsa Lominsa had a curious encounter. A Roegadyn of hulking size was brought to the infirmary with arrows riddling his body. The healers pulled the arrows out one by one 12 in total were removed. The healers thought the Roegadyn was damaged beyond repair for when each arrow was pulled the Roegadyn made no movement what so ever aside from his eyes never leaving the healers as they did their work. As the last arrow was pulled the ever watchful eyes closed and stayed closed for months. When the healers came back one morning the bed containing the Roegadyn was empty and the sheets folded ever so neatly.
